Prior starting with the construction of a vessel it is advisable to have the drawing assessed. By doing so you can avoid embarrassing situations at a later stage when the craft is being build and inspected. When changes need to be done in a later stage such as frame spacing or escape ways, it will mostly turn out in a costly operation to have these non-conformities adapted.
When performing a plan approval the design can be discussed with the designer and agreements can be made with the designer about the choice of the applicable criteria. Depending on the amount of supplied data or the customer wishes an ECB plan approval can include following items:
- Construction/strength.
- Escape ways.
- Prevention from falling overboard.
- Visibility from main steering position.
- Means of anchoring, mooring and towing. Cockpit draining and sill height.
- Stability pre-investigation.
Additional assessment possibilities are:
- Fuel systems Black- and grey water systems
- Electrical systems
- Gassystems.
Upon completion of the drawing assessment you will receive a report including a summary of the results and eventual summary of the calculations. This will enable you to avoid further complication during the building process.
