ECB is authorised to perform MCA Inspections for superyachts up to 24 meters.
Certifying authority in England, MECAL LTD has authorised ECB Nederland for MCA inspection work.
The ECB MCA inspections involve plan-approvals, Hull approvals, installation approvals, inspections and assessments conducted by ECB. MECAL LTD issues the Certificate.
Due to the overlap in the requirements of ECB MCA and the ECB RCD, substantial economics can be achieved in combining both assessments.
The Superyacht can be registered in the ECB Register, which involves annual surveys. This is valuable for the value of the yacht and for the insurance coverage.
The yacht can be registered in England or USA, or the Netherlands for flagstate registration.
Another possibility is the ECB Mashall Islands (USA protectorate) registration of the yacht. This leads to considerable (tax) improvements for the owner.
