Technical Dossier System (TDS)

The ECB TDS-Certificate (Technical Dossier System Certificate) proves that the producer works with a Technical Dossier System that meets the legal requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive (RCD).

A producer with the ECB TDS-Certificate doesn't bring products on the market without registration of the legally required documents according the RCD. Only correct EC-(Type) certificates and corresponding Declarations of Confirmity proves to meet the law in case of inspection by controlling authorities Inpection and Ministry of Transport).

Assessment 

The TDS will be judged on the bases of the registrations of the producer. The content of the Technical Dossier per type or per unit will be judged on the bases of the inspection reports that are made in the context of the product certification.

The assessment will be executed on the bases of the ECB Quality System.

Periodical tests

The ECB TDS-System will be judged every six months by an ECB auditor. A report about meeting the requirements will be made and send to the applicant.
